1. Aircraft wall panels and shells

The wall panels, wing skins, and fuselage shells of aircraft are the main application areas of sheet metal parts. These components require high strength, lightweight, and corrosion resistance, typically using high-performance materials such as aluminum alloys and titanium alloys.

Superplastic Forming Technology (SPF) and Superplastic Forming/Diffusion Bonding Technology (SPF/DB) are widely used in the manufacturing of multi-layer hollow structure aircraft wall panels. These technologies can connect multiple parts into a large component, reduce the number of parts, and improve overall integrity and reliability.

2. Engine components

Sheet metal manufacturing is used to produce engine cooling systems, turbine blades, exhaust components, etc. These components need to withstand extreme conditions of high temperature, high pressure, and high-speed rotation, so materials such as titanium alloys and stainless steel are often used.

The components such as pipes and heat exchangers in the engine cooling system are manufactured through processes such as laser cutting, bending, and welding to ensure their stability and durability under extreme temperatures.

3. Missile and spacecraft shells

The shell, rudder wing surface and other components of the missile also extensively use sheet metal structures. These components require high strength, lightweight, and good aerodynamic performance, typically using titanium and aluminum alloys.

High temperature components such as nozzles and combustion chambers of missiles are more commonly made of titanium alloys due to their excellent high-temperature resistance and strength.

4. Complex structural components

Some complex structural components in the aerospace field, such as frame rib parts and profile parts, are manufactured through processes such as sheet metal stamping, drawing, and rolling bending.

For example, skin stretching technology is used to manufacture aircraft wing skins, processing metal sheets into complex curved shapes through stretching processes.

5. Advanced sheet metal forming technology

Superplastic forming technology: By heating and pressure treatment, metal sheets are formed in a super plastic state, which can manufacture complex hollow structures.

Spinning forming technology: used for manufacturing rotating parts such as conical and cylindrical shapes, with the characteristics of high material utilization and high forming accuracy.

Mold free sheet metal forming technology: Combining artificial intelligence and robot technology, collecting data through a large number of sensors and gradually deforming metal sheets to achieve high-precision and high-efficiency production.

6. Materials and Surface Treatment

Aerospace sheet metal parts often use high-performance materials such as aluminum alloy, titanium alloy, aluminum lithium alloy, etc. These materials not only have high strength and light weight, but also have good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.

Surface treatment techniques such as anodizing and chemical plating are widely used to improve the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of sheet metal parts.
